Chicago is gorgeous
The new year is Chicago with a gorgeous coating of snow. It’s just enough that everything looks clean and picturesque. I’d love to write more, but I have so much reading to do. I’ve been chomping at the bit to start all these reading challenges for 2008, and it’s finally time. I’m actually looking very much forward to a longish train ride back from Indiana later this afternoon, but I haven’t selected the book for it. I’m leaning towards Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking. It isn’t a long book, and it might be motivating to get a book started and done quickly.
On my drive to Indiana, I’ll be partaking of the unabridged audio version of Ulysses, which I will be listening to in addition to reading the text. I’m anticipating that it will be difficult, so I figured two modalities might help with the digestion.

hi, I followed you home.
You ran a marathon? That’s impressive - the kids can pretty much look after themselves once they hit 4. The farthest I ever ran was across the Confederation Bridge - 14 km. We took a bus back.
We have snow here too, and it’s supposed to snow again tomorrow. Ugh.
I see you are in a number of reading challenges this year. See you around
