It’s about 1:30 a.m., and I am still wrestling with the quirks of blogging. The spacing of my Friday Fill-In post is driving me quite mad.

Friday Fill-Ins #60

1. The inevitable new experiences are the best things about traveling.

2. I love a good hot, long bubble bath when I’m cold. (Yes, I spend entire months of the year in the bathtub; such is the peril of living in Chicago.)

3. I often use lip balm. (Seriously: addiction.)

4. I’m reading The Blind Assassin right now; I feel like I’m slogging through it, so it’s become a weird metaphor for my life right now. Hey! How funny is that? This book claims to be three novels in one, and I’m having this experience where I have a life, but I’m also reading about something that reminds me of my life . . .

5. Neglected, suffering animals is something I dislike talking about.

6. When I visited San Francisco I most looked forward to seeing Maria Teresa.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a new experience: CRAPPLE (still don’t really know what it is!), tomorrow my plans include learning to snowboard!! and Sunday, I want to lay about and honor my inner sloth after hosting a meeting for the chicago organizers of National Novel Writing Month! (I’m the word war captain for 2008–true story!)
